I get to Xbox Live I have a laptop and an ethernet cable and 3 mobile broadband dongle is not sure how I am not very Computer Savy or not to understand about ports, so any help would be appreciated

Sorry buddy, but I do not work. Something that can work to use with the laptop as a modem. Connect your Xbox to your laptop via an Ethernet cable and the Internet to connect to your laptop.
